The system produces bright and adherent deposits of low stress. Platinum P SaltTM is available in the form of an aqueous slurry which is dissolved in a solution of diammonium and disodium hydrogen phosphates to provide the plating bath.
Availability
Platinum P SaltTM Aqueous Slurry is available in packs of 50 g platinum content and 100 g platinum content. Other pack sizes can be supplied as required.
Bath preparation
The platinum P SaltTM aqueous slurry containing 50 g platinum is added to a solution of 1200 g disodium hydrogen phosphate dihydrate and 180 g diammonium hydrogen phosphate in 9 litres of demineralised water.
Upon heating to 90°C, the solid dissolves and the volume of solution is adjusted to 10 litres by the addition of demineralised water.
