What a chemist needs to know about patents
01 March 2018
As we use science to create innovative products, Johnson Matthey continuously increases its investment in R&D reaching £201 million in 2016/2017.
With around 1,450 of our employees involved in R&D representing ~12% of the total JM workforce, we work in partnership with a number of organisations facilitating professional development and networking for chemists and engineers within the industry such as The Royal Society of Chemistry and The Society of Chemical Industry.
The latter is holding a one-day event “What a Chemist needs to know about Patents”
on 23 April 2018, London. The workshop is a great opportunity for R&D professionals to gain insight into the world of patents and Intellectual Property (IP) from patent and trademark attorneys and litigators. The programme covers drafting the patents and patent specifications, an overview on how to deal with IP issues during third-party negotiations plus advice on how to read and understand patents and more.
Please see the full programme for more details and don’t miss the Early bird registration deadline 12 March 2018.*
